Service dogs are helpful to humans with impairments for a plethora of physical and mental illnesses. From dogs helping to guide a seeing impaired individual, to one that detects seizures and helps Parkinson’s sufferers recover from a fall, they are a unique and integral part of the treatment plan. However, the costs involved with receiving a service dog are prohibitive.
The Heidi White Memorial Scholarship Concert was held Tuesday, April 5, 7:00pm at the Bertha Frank Performing Arts Center at MHS. The concert featured the Morton Elementary Choir, MHS Chorale, MHS & MJHS Prelude Strings, The Bum Bums, The B Naturals, emcee Ashlie Antrim with Jake Geiger, and the MJHS Jazz Band with JC & the Redemption!!!
Witzig's clothing store was a Morton Downtown fixture for 84 years, 1910 - 1994. Gene and Harold Witzig were 3rd generation family members in the business. They always had a particular passion for downtown Morton beautification... not only for their own store front, but for the entire downtown business community.
