The Y.E.S. Pool Fund (Pass-Through Project Fund)
This Pass-Through Project Fund was started in December of 2005 by several anonymous donors. The purpose of the fund was to collect donations toward a future indoor pool project.
The Morton Community Foundation provides services for local charitable projects, that have a very specific and short time frame, that are clearly charitable in nature, and that fall within the mission of the Community Foundation. Donations to a Morton Community Foundation Pass-Through Project Fund are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Services include the provision of non-profit status to the project (thus making contributions tax-deductible), the receipting and managing of contributions, authorization and payment of grants from the fund, and the preparation of income and expense reports for the recipient organization.
The Y.E.S. Pool fund was established for the purpose of collecting donations toward a future indoor pool project in our community. At this time there is no plan in place to build an indoor pool.
Note that the projects themselves are not managed by the Foundation. The MCF only provides the services related to receipt of donations toward the projects.
